[Balthier swallows him and greedily licks and sucks him clean while he gasps. He kisses the inside of Ed's thigh, presses his forehead there and catches his breath where he can really breathe him in. The way Edward said his name is thudding in his chest.]
[Balthier tilts into those touches like a cat, and he lifts his head just enough to look at Edward, still pressing his cheek against the inside of Edward's bent thigh. Just... gazes at him.]
[ for a moment, Balthier catches that whale-eyed, strung-out weariness again. But just as quickly it becomes heart-wrenching fondness. He holds Balthier into the kiss. ]
[He keeps kissing him, warm and intimately deep. He'd fucking never kiss a stranger like this and this man is not a stranger, he knows it viscerally, and it's got him shaken on the same frequency. He strokes his hand up Edward's side, drags it down his thigh, settles on top of him to just keep touching him.]
[Balthier tugs at his lip with his teeth, soothes with his tongue. He presses their noses against each other and breathes. His hands rest and massage on Ed's haunches.]
[ this can’t be real. It’s too good. He just smooths a hand up and down his back in long strokes, holds his head against his chest. But he can’t help the way his hands are just a little too fidgety, like he’s worried Balthier will disappear at any moment. ]
[Balthier is so unused to soothing like this; he can hardly stand how it makes him feel. He pushes up so he can look at Edward's face, look at all of him really.]
[ he tries saying something but it comes out in that babbled nonsense again. He really seems to not know when he’s doing it. Only one little bit of coherence slips through: ]
You needn't try to speak of details, it's unfair to you when I ought to know. You've escaped. We're here together now, and we have plenty to talk of at present. A warm, dry, barren little homecell for us to share and fill with new currencies.
I couldn't agree more. Something decent to drink or smoke wouldn't hurt either. I'm drying every plant in the forest one by one until one of them does something pleasant.

Talk to me, Captain. We have time.
Re: Day 2
. . . Seems nice here.
Re: Day 2
I'm loathe to imagine where you've just escaped from if this is an upgrade.
